A logo takes the place of being a very important element, symbol or a trademark for any company or business. A logo is the most distinguished identifying mark or identification of a brand or organization. A logo is designed and utilized for the good of a brand that is why a Logo has to accurately reflect an organization’s personality, character and corporate image to the entire world.

Logos not only acquire a very special place and position in the corporate world but they are the centre of attention at almost everything that needs to capture attention such as Non Profit Organizations, Charity’s and Sports. Sports logos are very different from other categories of logos because of their uniqueness, creativity, style and design. Just by looking at a Sports logo, one can distinctly identify its unique appearance. Logo designs for sports companies are typically very different from that of any business company or food chain because they need to impress people on a whole another level to increase fan following and participation on behalf of the team. In a sports logo, colors, font, size and style plays a very detrimental role in the overall look and feel of the logo. A sports logo has to speak volumes about the determination and winning spirit of a particular team to effectively serve its purpose. A sports logo design should therefore be vibrant and with intelligent symbols pertaining to sports in general or for a particular sport.

People in general are very passionate when it comes to sports and sporting events. The logo of a sporting event or a team is normally used as a sign of allegiance as it signifies and creates an emotional bond between a supporter and his/her team. A strong sport logo plays a very important role in cultivating a relationship between the team and its fans. The rule of the thumb is that the stronger the fans feel about the logo the stronger will be the relationship between the fans and the team. The sport logo goes on a variety of sport related goods and collectibles and fans buy these products and goodies with pride as they feel an emotional connection and bond with the team via the logo. Fans buy these collectibles to use the sports logo to celebrate the association with a particular sport and a particular team. The real beauty of sports logo design is that is binds and blends the sport and the fans as one.

A sports logo design conveys the message of a team and establishes a unique identity that reflects the success of the sport and the team playing that sport. It also goes to give the fans a separate identity on which they could pride themselves. A sports logo design plays a great role in the successful branding of a team and ensuring its leading position in the sports world. An original and unique sports logo design helps in establishing the identity of the sport and the team playing that particular sport. It also helps in capturing the views attention as it leaves a lasting impression on the viewer’s mind and increases the fan following and support of the team around the globe.

Every business needs an intelligent and loyal representative to represent the business in a professional and confident manner. For this role, companies usually hire people that have the skills, confidence and knowledge to highlight the services and products offered by the company. With the passage of time and the advent of technology and information, it was discovered that logos have the potential to represent businesses in a professional and confident manner similar to or even better than humans. The colors, designs, fonts and wordings used and incorporated in logos can very well used to creatively and cleverly represent the motive and inform the viewer about the vision and mission of the company. So, for a logo to effectively and efficiently act s your representative, you first need to take care of all the elements that go into designing a creative logo for your business. All these elements work together to create a brand identity for your business so all of these elements need special attention. That is why a business logo must be very carefully designed, as it will effectively represent your business all over the business community and the world.

Speaking of business and the business worlds, the business of real estate and property plays a very important role in the economic development of any country. Usually, real estate and property logos are treated and designed as the same. If you take a closer look at these logos, you will see striking similarities between the two, and you will also notice some major differences in designing approach between the two. Since the nature of both these businesses is centered on property and real estate, the logos of both these businesses should accurately depict and symbolize property and real estate in a clever, concise and creative manner. The other common trait that both these businesses share is that their logos are very well defined, technical and very formal.

Some of the common elements of real estate and property logos are:

Design & Concept

Upon viewing any of a real estate or property logo, their design scheme and concept immediately becomes evident. Because of the tough and cut throat competition in the real estate and property industry, these logos need a solid design effort to get them noticed in a crowd. The designing of these logos are usually formal, and generally revolves around the name of the company or the project. The name is usually highlighted using color combinations or combination of fonts and styles. If the company wants to emphasize importance of a particular project then it might opt to incorporate the environment or salient features of that particular project in the logo. A good example of this would be if a real estate company is selling residential or commercial spaces near a beach, the designers would incorporate trees, waves or other elements symbolizing a beach in the logo.

Colors

The colors generally used in a real estate or property logo are selected specifically attract and draw attention. Since real estate is a natural element, the colors used in real estate logos too belong to the category of natural elements such as water, fire air, etc. the choice of colors is also heavily influenced by the nature of a particular project or a real estate niche.

Food Logos acquire the same importance and play an equally important part in the success of the food business as they do in other industries. A food logo with the right colors, typography, graphics and color settings will appeal to almost any class of audience, irrespective of age, color, caste or gender. It will also appeal to your customers even if they have never heard of your place of business before. The food industry plays a very important role in moving the wheels of the economy so it becomes that much more important that the food business succeeds and keeps on benefiting the economy.

The need of the food business is felt most whenever someone decides to take a day off from cooking and decides to eat out at a nearby restaurant. A café, restaurant or a cozy little eatery is also a preferred place of people to hang out. It also acts as the destination of party people and it is also famous for corporate events. Whatever the case or the need might be, this business is reaching new heights of success with every passing day.

Eateries can be classified and categorized into different categories such as fast food restaurants, sea food restaurants, Italian, Mexican, French Food Restaurants, and so on. Interestingly, each of these restaurants belong to the category of eateries of food outlets but when it comes to designing their logos, there would be little or no similar elements incorporated in them. Restaurant logos are designed specifically according to the cuisine being served at the restaurant. Food logos are also highly influenced by the ambience and the character of an eatery. Knowing about typical cuisines, their history and their individual characters will help any logo designer in coming up with exciting and creative food logos for the respective business.

Designing logos for cafes is considered to be the most alluring logo design experience. It is always a creative challenge to design logo for a café because of the vibrant and ever changing nature of café’s. The logo designer has full liberty over choosing whether to use the café’s name in the logo or use a cup of coffee, tea, coffee beans etc to creatively express the nature of the business. The idea is quite redundant but still there is a lot of room for creativity to make the logo refreshing and appeal to the viewers. This is exactly what was implied when it was mentioned earlier that it is always a creative challenge to design logos for cafes.

Casual dining places are usually a bit more upscale than fast food restaurants. A logo designer should take this particular eatery a bit serious since it deals with upper middle class people. The typical symbols associated with casual dining places are gourmet breads and organic ingredients.

Moving on to fast food business, the most common symbol associated with this industry are burgers and fries. These symbols have a proven track record of attracting customers therefore they are widely used in fast food logo designs.

Keeping the above information in mind, a logo designer can come up with many interesting ideas for logo designs to successfully establish the brand identity of any food business.

Before a designer begins to actually work on a logo design concept, he/she first needs to survey the market, understand the target audience and study the competitive market. Failing to properly address these elements and taking into account these important associated details will negatively impact the concept and the final design of the logo. It is therefore very important that you know and understand the brand and its target market. Once you are on the same page with the brand and its target market and audience then only will you be able to come up with captivating and appealing logo designs for your clients.

Designing logos for the fitness industry is or designing fitness logos is a huge creative challenge in itself. The fitness industry revolves around calories, machines, yoga, exercises, proper nutrition etc and a fitness logo has to have the essence of most, if not all of the above mentioned elements. Since the fitness industry is very competitive with the vast availabilities of gyms, fitness clubs and personal trainers so establishing a powerful brand identity becomes that much more important for the success and survival of any fitness relate business.

As already discussed, the fitness business mainly deals with and revolves around the human body. It also deals with the age old questions of individual health and perfection and how do individuals achieve these targets and goals. The fitness industry is generally categorized into two branches or categories, the health and fitness and the strength and muscle category. Typically, businesses that deal with and promote fitness will chose and focus on one area of expertise. Typically, they would want to push either the ‘health and fitness’ message or the ‘strength and muscle’ message.

With the passage of time and new biological developments, the secrets behind the complex working of the human body are uncovered and the mysteries are solved. This has led to the developments of many niche markets in the gym business. Niches such as upper body, lower body, abdomen, thighs, biceps, etc and depending on the location and the surrounding environment, people are opting for a particular niche as this targets the problem areas that they want to target and they achieve results faster as compared to a old school gym. The continuous new developments in the gym business and the fitness industry have made designing logos for fitness industry that much more difficult. Now logo designers need to be aware of and keep track of the latest happenings and developments in the fitness world all over the globe. The logo designers should now have the necessary knowledge of the current and upcoming developments to include that particular flavor of technology into your logo. The overall look and feel of your logo should hint at the niche that your fitness business aims to promote.

Besides particular niches, there are a lot of other factors that make your gym unique and different from the competition. Try to build a unique selling point of your business and use it in your logo to get the most benefits out of your log and branding.

There are a few points that act as obvious telling factors and provide a very good description for great logo designs. A good and well informed logo designer is already well aware of these points and knows them like the back of his hands. But since there are a lot of “pretend” and “supposed” logo designers out there prying on unsuspecting business owners, it is best that smart business owners take some time out and understand the ingredients of a great logo design so that this information might come handy in differentiating between the mediocre and the extra ordinary. After all, any business needs a corporate image to survive in the cut throat world of business and the better the corporate image of a business, the better are its chances of survival and growth.

The first and foremost requirement for Financial Logos is clear, legible fonts that are easily readable and add class to the logo. The quality of the font also determines the quality of the financial services that are being provided by you and your company. Easily readable fonts translate into easily understandable policies and go a long way in comforting your client or the viewer of the logo. This also clearly brings forward the image that you want your company to portray. This is the reason why almost all or most of financial and accounting logos have formal font styles as these logo have to have clear writing and for this they are willing to sacrifice any artistic expression.

In the world of logo designing, one size fits none and anyone who claims otherwise is a liar or worst, a con artist. The individual character of a logo is what gives it life and a unique identity. So never compromise on the quality of your financial logo and never settle for a sub standard product. Remember your logo is an investment and not expenses, so treat it like an investment, nurture it and surely it will produce great rewards for your business.

A good logo design should work equally well and look equally good in all sizes. Particularly, a financial logo design has to look great on a business card as well as on large print formats for sign boards or banners. A very important pre requisite of a financial logo is that it should be readable from a distance and should still look great and be clearly distinguishable from afar. While pitching your logo requirements to the logo designer make sure that you are communicating with him in a simple and clear way that makes it easy for the designer to understand your requirements. This will simplify things for the designer and enable him/her to produce the best possible logo designs for you.

Colors go a long way in defining a company, its vision and its mission statement but often things look better in black and white. Make sure that you have black and white versions of logos available for you to compare and contrast. A Black and white version will also make it easy for you to Look and see if a design has lost its legibility, impact or message without its colors. The black and white version also comes in handy when it comes to stationery and other formal media mediums where fewer colors are considered corporate and formal.

As for the importance of film and studio logos, it would be sufficient to presume that a film and studio logo is going be viewed by millions and millions of people so the logo has to effectively communicate the studio’s corporate message and establish a distinct brand identity in the mind of the movie and cinematic enthusiasts. Because of the inherent nature of movies and movie production, a film and studio logo must be creative, clever, concise, original and unique. Since a film and studio logo represents film making and creativity, a logo that lacks creativity and originality will never be acceptable for any studio. Film making is now considered as an official branch of arts and that complicates the job of designing a film and studio logo even more. Now the logo designer needs to have an artistic eye to view the logo from an artist’s point of view. Designing film and studio logos is now doubt a huge challenge, but for people who have the zeal to succeed and make a name for themselves through creativity, film and studio logos have all the right ingredients for achieving name, fame and fortune.

As mentioned earlier, there are no standard procedures to follow while designing film and studio logos, but there are however some tips and advices that will come in handy while designing film and studio logos. These advices were shared by logo designers that had the opportunity to work with high profile studios and these advices come from years of their personal learning experiences. The following are some practical tips for re-enforcing a brand image by designing an effective film studio logo.

Simplicity and keeping things simple is often overlooked while designing logos. It is commonly but wrongly believed that the more complex the logo is, the more creative it would be. On the contrary, creativity has nothing to do with complexity. Often the most creative things are most simple. Going overboard with a concept and making it complex does not guarantee a creative output. Remember to keep things as simple as possible and you will most definitely end up with a great looking and creative logo. Visualize the logos of Apple, IBM, Fed Ex, McDonald’s, etc. They are the living examples of simple logos that changed the face of entire industries.

Another very important trait of a good logo film and studio logo design is versatility. This trait is only achievable if the designer follows the previous tip of keeping things simple. A complicated logo may be usable for larger mediums of advertisement and marketing such as billboards etc, but when these logos are scaled down for business cards or envelopes, they instantly lose their appeal and the creative touch.

The above mentioned tips should be sufficient in providing you the stepping stone required to design a powerful and memorable logo.

Education holds a very dear and strategically important place in our lives. The world as we know it would cease to exist without education and knowledge and we owe all our achievements to knowledge and good education. The importance of education cannot be undermined under any circumstances and that is why education logos too hold a very important place in the field of logo designing. Educational institutes are not only a place of learning, they are where young minds are given a solid character and taught the values of life, discipline and the right approach to live a healthy and prosperous life. Thus, the logos for educational institutes have to be reflective of all these values and traits combined with a sense of purpose, commitment, dedication and positivity.

Education logos are meant to be an attraction for both children and adults. Education logos need to attract adult because after all they are the decision makers when it comes to choosing the best educational institution for their children and that is why the logos aim to impress the parents or guardians of children. The logos should also impress the children by making them want to join that particular school and they should look forward to going there. Thus, the education logos should be captivating for children and look appealing to adults.

Education logos should have professional look and feel to them that is attractive and effectively communicates and motivates people to come forward and join that particular school, college or university. University and school logos in particular should be specially and specifically attractive to attract the most number of people towards them. They should look good on anything where they are pasted such as business cards, banners, web, electronic or print media in general. As already witnessed in countless scenarios, educational logs are widely used on t-shirts, exercise books, stickers, brochures, online newsletters and website, souvenirs, hats, caps, schoolbags, medals, trophies and flags. Essentially this means that the logos should be accommodating and flexible enough to be used anywhere on demand and when required, and they should look equally good and do their part in impressing and inspiring the students and the audience alike.

Usually, logos are considered as a corporate requirement that is meant and aimed for business and corporations only. But contrary to this theory, most organizations, be it commercial or non commercial have some kind of a symbol or symbolic gesture that identifies them and gives them a distinct identity. Major Educational institutions too, all have a corporate image that they carry with pride and maintain with honor. Since most educational institutions are not for profit organizations, different principles and philosophy of design apply to their logos.

Logos have a purpose and are intended to convey the essence of an organization and its mission and vision statement. A logo proclaims what an organization stands for and establishes the integrity and image of an organization in a very positive manner. Traditional, conservative and modern Universities, Colleges, and Preparatory Academies all have one thing in common and that having a logo that successfully reflects their core values and principles.
